HRST Through Hotel - Rules

PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED

1)Selection criteria of candidates for training:

a) 18-28 yrs of age as on date of start of training
b) Minimum 10 th standard pass and maximum should not be a graduate
-- Copies of documents for proof of the above criteria has to be provided along with the registration form (enclosed). SC/ST/OBC candidates need to submit proof of their caste/ category -- Documents to be verified by the hotel , stamped with the hotel seal and signed by Hr/Training/GM of the hotel.

2) Registration form to be filled up and signed by the candidates and stamped and signed by the hotel authorities as above.
3) Registration forms to be sent along with a covering letter of the hotel for willingness to start the program to The Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Ahmedabad,Bhaijipura, Ahmedabad airport-gandhinagar Highway, PO Kudasan, Gandhinagar - 382421 at least 10 days prior to the starting of the program.
The program starts on the first Monday of every month (DATES MAY BE CHANGED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE INSTITUTE) except March.

4) Hotels should make sure at their end that the candidates meet all the eligibility criteria and the documents are in order. If there is any discrepancies or documents are missing then the candidate shall not be registered.
5) After verifying the documents the institute shall intimate the hotels to start the training program with the specified date of commencement of training
6) The training should be conducted as per the details provided in the website of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India
7) The hotel needs to send the unifom size details of the candidates (Eg: Pant:32" and shirt / chef coat:42") by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. within 7days of starting the program to facilitate procurement from HHEC Delhi
8) Attendance sheet of the candidates have to maintained.

Examinations

The practical exams for the programs need to scheduled after completion of these 6 weeks for waiters and Housekeepers and after 8weeks for Cooks and bakers.
You are advised to fix the date and time  for the examinations and intimate the same to the  institute one week in advance so that the institute can depute a person to visit your hotel at the said date and time to observe the examination process.

Please find attached the following

1) Practical examination marking proforma to be used for individual candidates and signed by internal and external examiner.
2) The base mark sheet which need to be filled department wise as per the above exam proforma and signed by the internal and external examiner along with the seal of the hotel.
3) Other details of the program are being attached herewith

After completion of the examination, the following documents need to be sent to the institute within one week for processing of certificate and cheques

1) Hard copy of  Base mark sheet and examination marking sheets.(Minimum passing mark is 60)
2) Training Attendance sheet of students.(Min. 90 % attendance)
3) Uniform  sizes of students( soft copy by email in advance)
4) Group Photo graph of trainees( during training and exam) via email
5) Group photo of students after completion of training via email

The Institute on receiving the exam details of all the hotels which have started training in the same batch/ date shall process the documents and shall intimate the hotels to collect the certificates, cheque and uniform from the Institute.

For collecting the above materials , the hotel shall send some one with an authorization letter along with the names of the candidates addressed to the Principal.

The person should carry his hotel identity card and a copy of the same.
-The certificate provided by the institute has to be signed by the General Manager and stamped with the hotel seal before handing over to the candidates along with the cheque and uniform. Hard copy of acknowledgment sheet of receipt of the cheque, certificate and uniform by the candidates has to be sent by hard copy and also email for office records
