B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration – Generic & Vegetarian Cuisine Option

The Bachelor of Science program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered jointly by the National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Three-Year (Six Semester) full time regular course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector.

The established Food Craft Institute Ahmedabad Society, set up in 1972 was upgraded as Institute of Hotel Management Ahmedabad in 1984 by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.

Program For Waiters

HUNNAR SE ROZGAR

Waiter's Skills Development Program of the Ministry of Tourism

Course Title Waiter
Objective Increase trained manpower capacity of service providers
Eligibility 8th Class pass
Age: 18 to 28 years
Duration Six Weeks (210 Hours) Teaching of seven hours per day - five days a week or 35 hours per week
Industrial Training Industrial Training of sixteen hours per week for six weeks. Minimum clock in of 80 hours certified through log sheet by industry / trainer
Admission Through Advertisement on first come first served basis with class size of 25-30 students
Fee No course fee for trainee
Stipend 1500/- at the end of course
Course Administration To be delivered by Central Institutes of Hotel Management & four IHMs/FCIs @ Faridabad, Chandigarh, Kurukshetra & Ajmer
Attendance and Examination Students must attain minimum 90% attendance to be entitled for stipend. There will be one hour objective type, multiple choice paper to test theoretical knowledge and 4/5 tasks tested in practical. Minimum pass marks are 60%

  • IHM Ahmedabad Is One Of The Longest Running Institutes

    Institute of Hotel Management, Ahmedabad - IHMA has been a pioneer center for excellence & a lively testament to the commitment for the hospitality education. Govt. of India and Govt. of Gujarat originally established the Institute as a registered society in 1972 as FOOD CRAFT INSTITUTE. The Ministry of Tourism (G.O.I.) upgraded the Institute to the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition in the year 1984.

    Achieve Excellence In Academics And Studies

    The Institute offers B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration three years degree program, with an intake capacity of 230 number of students every year.
  • ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR B.SC IN H & HA

    Minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE on provisional basis.

    AGE LIMIT

    For candidates from General and OBC categories upper age limit is 22 years. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25 years, only those SC / ST candidates whose date of birth is eligible.
